Droëwors are a popular South African snack food which translates to “dry sausage”, a dried version of the South African sausage, boerewors. It’s high in protein and ready-to-eat, meaning there’s no preparation required.
Prepared in a similar way to Biltong, Droëwors are made using minced meat which is cured and seasoned before being stuffed into a casing. It is then hang dried.
Droëwors are a great healthy snack. And they go exceptionally well with a Beer. They are often referred to as 'Beer Sticks!'.
